Summit Winter Services

About Summit Winter Services

An ice storm out of the northwest reaches the Harper Woods line first and works its way through the Woods overnight. Summit Winter Services is up for it — plowing driveways open, clearing walkways and front steps, salting wherever the glaze wants to hold. Snow here often comes wet and heavy off the lake, which makes an early pass worth more than a late one. There is a specific satisfaction in a driveway already down to pavement while the streetlights are still burning. Winter is the whole trade, and Grosse Pointe Woods and its neighbors are the whole map.
