There is a week each October when the maples over Greenville's older streets let go nearly all at once and the curbs disappear under gold. Green sweeps works that week and every week — mowing through the season, trimming, edging along the walks, and clearing leaves off the grass before the rain mats them down. In spring the passes run in reverse: the yard swept clean, the first cut set, the edges reopened after the thaw. Small routines, repeated, are what keep a lawn looking even.
