South of Grawn the pines take over toward Interlochen and the sandy hills roll down to Green Lake. Siler's Lawn Maintenance keeps the yards along those roads mowed and edged in the warm months, and plowed and salted once the drifts arrive. Sand drains fast up here, so a lawn wants feeding and a mower set high to hold its color through August. Winter is a different rhythm entirely — headlights, blade down, walkways opened before anyone is awake. The mower and the plow ask for different hours, and both of them get it.
