About Dan's Excavating Services Inc.

By mid-July the county roads out of Grant run straight between corn and pasture, heat shimmering off the blacktop, and every lawn along them wants cutting twice a week. Dan's Excavating Services Inc. keeps to that rhythm — mowing, string trimming around posts and mailboxes, edging the walks, and blowing the clippings back off the concrete before pulling out. Grass runs hard on this sandy loam once the rains come, then sulks in August, and the schedule bends to whichever mood it is in. Spring and fall cleanups bookend the year, raking out what winter left behind and gathering what October drops. The reward is small and repeatable: a straight line where turf meets driveway, and a yard that looks tended from the road.
