A barber's whole art is the edge, and a lawn is no different — the line along the walk, the fence row, the collar of grass around a mailbox post. Yard Barber cuts Grand Rapids yards on that principle: mow it even, trim what the deck cannot reach, then edge until the boundaries are sharp enough to read from the street. Midtown lots run narrow and full of trees, so it is slow, close work with the trimmer and fast work with the mower. Spring and fall cleanups bracket the season on either end.
