About Meadowgreen Inc

Dawn along Knapp Street in May comes up green and wet, and the mowers are out in it well before the traffic is. Meadowgreen Inc keeps the lawns on the east edge of Grand Rapids on a weekly turn — mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanups at both ends of the year — then turns to the plow, the shovel and the salt spreader once the ground locks up. The soil out toward Forest Hills is sandy and drains quickly, so a rainless July shows up in the color within days and the cutting height rises to meet it. Winter asks for the opposite temperament: early hours, cold steel, and pavement cleared to the pavement. The through-line is arriving before anyone has to ask.
