About Griff's Services

Alger Heights keeps its evenings long in June, the kind where the light lies flat across the lawns off Eastern Avenue until nearly ten. Griff's Services works those hours — mowing, string trimming, edging, and clearing the clippings off before the dew comes back down. There is a plain satisfaction in a line cut straight along a sidewalk that has been there since the neighborhood was young. Grand Rapids grass runs fast through a wet June and slows to almost nothing in a dry August, and the schedule bends either way rather than fighting it. What the work is after is simple: a yard that reads as cared for from the street, week after week, without the homeowner having to think about it.
