B's Prisitine Lawn & Snow works both halves of the year on those addresses: mowing and trimming the small deep yards while the ground is soft, then plowing and shoveling once it goes hard. October is the hinge, when the last cut is made and the silver maples on Second and Third let go all week. Winter turns the job into opening drives and clearing a path to the front step, with salt on the porch stairs where the shade never quite gives up. Same streets, same doors, different tool in hand.
