About Bruce's Sweeping LLC

Three in the morning in Eaton County, the clipper has come and gone, and the lots west of Lansing lie under six unbroken inches. That is Bruce's Sweeping LLC's hour: plow down, headlights full of falling flakes, pushing lanes open in a town still asleep. Driveways, lots and walkways around Grand Ledge get cleared and salted before the first shift punches in, so nobody stands in a doorway weighing whether to risk it. Winter here arrives sideways off the open ground and drifts back over what you opened an hour ago, so you go around again. The reward is small and complete — dry pavement at dawn, and a whole town that never learns how much snow actually fell.
