About Hecksel Tree Service Inc
In November the gales come down the length of Lake Michigan and break white over the Grand Haven pier, and every tree in town leans a little east because of it. Hecksel Tree Service Inc works this Ottawa County shoreline, from the dune sand near the channel back up the Grand River to the inland yards. Tree removal, tree trimming, and pruning keep those wind-shaped maples and oaks sound — a crown thinned so gusts pass through instead of pushing, a limb taken out where it has been sawing at a roofline. Storm damage cleanup is the morning after, when a night of wind has rearranged half a street. Handing a yard back swept and whole, with the lake still working away past the dune, is reason enough to be out early.
