About Happy Lawn

A June evening in Gladwin is a fine argument for living in this part of Michigan: long light, cut grass on the air, a sprinkler ticking somewhere down the block. Happy Lawn keeps that picture in order — mowing, trimming and edging, cleanups at either end of the season — and then turns around in winter to plow the drive and open the walk. The name is not an accident; there is genuine cheer in handing a household back a yard that looks the way they had pictured it. Stripes laid even, edges tight along the walk, clippings blown off the drive. Same satisfaction in January, only with a plow instead of a mower.
