About Grinders Property Maintenance

By February the shanties are out on Wiggins Lake and the cold has a dry, ringing quality to it, the kind that makes snow squeak under a boot at two in the morning. That is the hour Grinders Property Maintenance is usually up and moving, plowing Gladwin driveways and clearing the walks so nobody has to guess where the concrete is. Storms here have a habit of finishing overnight and leaving their worst piled against the garage door. Getting there first is most of the job; getting it clean to the edges is the rest. There is something honest about a yard light shining down on a drive that was already open before anyone's alarm went off.
