Mason's Lawn & Landscape

About Mason's Lawn & Landscape

A July evening in Genoa Township runs long and gold, and the smell of cut grass hangs over a whole street until the dew comes down. Mason's Lawn & Landscape makes that smell for a living — mowing, edging and trimming on a steady turn, mulch spread dark through the beds, borders held sharp where lawn meets stone. Around here the old hayfield land turned into house lots but the soil never got the message, so a lawn takes real tending to stay thick through a dry August. The good part is stepping back at the end and seeing the whole yard read as one thing: even color, clean lines, nothing shaggy at the edges. Getting a place there and keeping it there is the actual craft of the work.
