Garden City was platted so that every house would have room for a garden, and those long back lots are still here — still needing to be mown. F&M lawncare cuts them front and back, works the trimmer along fence lines and around sheds, and edges the walks so the turf stops exactly where it should. An evening cut in early summer, with the light going amber over the rooftops, is about as good as this job gets. Cleanups come twice a year, one to open the season and one to close it. What's left is a yard that looks the way the town's plan imagined it: kept, useful, green.
