Two calendars run through this town — a green one and a white one — and Buckaroo's Lawn and Snow LLC works both. From thaw to leaf-drop it is mowing, trimming, edging and yard cleanups; once the squalls start tracking in, it is plowing driveways, shoveling walks and steps, and salting the ice that sets up overnight. On a January morning near Cherry Hill Road the street is one soft unbroken shape until somebody carves the drives back open. That first pass is the good part: a clean wall of snow, a bare apron, a car that gets out on time. Come June the same properties get the same attention, only greener.
