About Gold Standard Lawn Services LLC.

Evenings stretch out in Galesburg in late June, light still hanging over the back fences at nine o'clock while the mowers cool in the driveway. Gold Standard Lawn Services LLC. works toward the look that hour rewards: even stripes laid down the length of a yard, edges run true along the walk, trimmer work close enough around the posts that nothing looks skipped. Grass in this part of Kalamazoo County grows in bursts after a summer rain and then sulks through the dry weeks, so the height gets adjusted to the season rather than to the calendar. Clippings come off the concrete before the crew leaves, because a swept drive is what makes the cut read as finished. It is ordinary work, done attentively, and a whole street looks better for it.
