M Heinz Landscaping & Snow

About M Heinz Landscaping & Snow

Four in the morning, the flat land out past Midland Road, and nothing moving but headlights and blowing snow. M Heinz Landscaping & Snow runs winter work out of Freeland — plowing driveways, opening parking lots, clearing walks so the first person out the door in the dark has somewhere to put their feet. Open country makes its own weather out here; the sky can quit snowing entirely and the wind will keep filling a drive from the field anyway. So you go back and do it again. There is a plain kind of pride in a lot standing bare and banked neatly at its edges before the sun clears the treeline.
