Ferndale's gardens live in narrow strips — a bed along the porch, a border beside the drive, a back corner someone has kept up for decades. Graceland Gardens tends the lawn around all of it, mowing and trimming close without chewing the beds, and edging so the line between planting and grass stays a real line. When the cold shuts things down, that same care goes to plowing and shoveling drives and walks, keeping the front of a house usable through the dark months. A yard looks its best when its geometry survives every month of the year. The work runs through Ferndale and into Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Berkley and Oak Park.
