On a still morning the mist sits on Lake Fenton until the sun gets up over the trees, and the lawns sloping down toward the water hold their dew until nine. Cornerstone Lawn & Landscape works that shoreline country and the township roads behind it, mowing, trimming and keeping beds clear from the first flush of spring to the last leaf in November. Grass on a slope has to be cut with some judgment; grass under lakeside maples has to be coaxed along. Edges at the walks are cut clean so a yard reads finished even from a boat going by. It is satisfying work in a place people chose partly for the way it looks.
