Hendrickson Plowing & Wood

About Hendrickson Plowing & Wood

A February morning in Eaton Rapids can hold a foot of new snow, a hard blue sky and fifteen degrees, all before six o'clock. Hendrickson Plowing & Wood works that morning — plowing drives and lots, cutting through the wall the county plow left across the apron, and clearing walks so nobody has to wade. Out on the gravel toward Onondaga and Aurelius the wind runs unbroken across open fields and will fill a driveway twice in a night; in town it is tight turnarounds and remembering where the mailbox stands. The measure of the job is a driveway you can pull out of without thinking about it once. Snow keeps its own schedule, and the truck keeps up.
