Buzz's Lawn Services

About Buzz's Lawn Services

June in East Tawas smells like cut grass and cold water, and the breeze off Tawas Bay keeps the afternoons workable long after inland towns have gone still and heavy. Buzz's Lawn Services mows the cottage lawns and year-round yards between Newman Street and the shore, trimming close along fences, seawalls and porch skirts where a deck can't reach. Sugar sand under the sod drains fast, so a lawn here wants a steady cut rather than a hard one. Spring and fall cleanups take care of what blows in off the pines and gathers in the lee of every garage. By evening the bay goes pink, the mowers are loaded, and the block reads as one tidy stretch of green.
