East Lansing's Bailey streets were planted long before anyone did the arithmetic on how much raking that would mean, and every October those maples make good on it. CLM Landscaping works the neighborhood on foot as much as by machine — mowing tight around old trunks and porch steps, edging the sidewalk seams, clearing beds down to open soil before the ground hardens.
