Toomey's Lawn Care & Snow Removal

About Toomey's Lawn Care & Snow Removal

Evening in Eagle is a wide business — the sun drops behind the section roads with nothing to stop it, and the wind that crossed forty miles of Clinton County corn finally lets go. Toomey's Lawn Care & Snow Removal takes the village lots and the farmhouse yards along that stretch, holding the grass at a height that survives July heat instead of frying in it. Sandy patches near the road, heavy ground down by the ditch: one property can carry three kinds of turf, and each one wants a different pass. A yard finished at dusk, edges tight and walks swept bare, is the sort of thing a neighbor notices without knowing quite why. That is the whole aim out here — a place that looks cared for starting at the mailbox.
