Bruckner Lawn Care & Snow Services

About Bruckner Lawn Care & Snow Services

West of Dundee the fields open up with nothing to stop the wind, and by February the snow doesn't so much fall as travel — a low white river running across the road until it piles at the end of somebody's drive. Bruckner Lawn Care & Snow Services goes out into that at four in the morning, plowing, shoveling steps and laying salt so the first car of the day can leave without a fight. When the ground finally softens the same crew is back behind mowers, keeping grass cut, trimmed and edged through the long green stretch from May into October. There's a plain pleasure in it: a drive cut wide and square in winter, a lawn striped even in summer, and a household that never had to think about either. Dundee hands you both jobs; the trick is loving them both.
