By late July the hay is off and the hills around Dryden go two colors — cut gold on the rises, deep green down in the low ground where the water sits. Greens Master keeps lawns on the green side of that line: weekly mowing, edges cut in, trimming tight to posts, fences and foundations, cleanups front and back as the season turns. Grass here grows on glacial ground, sandy up top and heavy in the swales, and it never grows evenly. Reading a lawn is half the work; the mower handles the rest. A lawn striped straight across a rolling yard is worth stopping the truck to look at.
