About Matt's Lawn Care & Snow Plow LLC

At four in the morning the streets of Dowagiac are blue and empty and the lake-effect is still falling, band after band blown twenty-five miles inland from Lake Michigan. Matt's Lawn Care & Snow Plow LLC is out in it — headlights on, blade down, the long scrape and push that turns a buried driveway back into a driveway. By the time coffee is on, the walk is shoveled and the apron is cut clean down to pavement. Summer is the other half of the year: mowing, trimming, edging, keeping those same yards sharp from May to the last of the leaves. Two seasons, one truck, the same streets.
