About Powell & Son LLC

Down in Jefferson-Chalmers the canals go still and the wind comes off Lake St. Clair with nothing between it and the back doors. Powell & Son LLC is out at three in the morning on nights like that, plowing driveways, cutting a shovel-width path clear to the steps, salting where the melt will refreeze before dawn. When the snow keeps falling, two passes beat one, and the second pass is what people actually wake up to. A cleared drive before the alarm goes off is the whole point of the trade. Snow removal for the streets nearest the water.
