About The Lawn Care Guy LLC

On a Corktown block the sun clears the rooflines before six and lays gold straight down Michigan Avenue. The Lawn Care Guy LLC is out in that hour, dew still silver on the blades, mower lines running true toward the curb. The work is mowing, trimming, edging and cleanup — the plain routine that makes a yard read as cared for from the sidewalk. There is a real pleasure in the last pass, when the edge along the walk comes up crisp as a folded page and the clippings are blown clean off the concrete. Grass here runs fast in June, and the answer is simply showing up on schedule: the small lots, the double lots, the corner where the block turns. In Detroit a squared-away lawn is a message, and it carries all the way down the street.
