About DW Custom Lawns

Saturday morning on the older blocks near Main Street in Coopersville: square lots, deep porches, sidewalks that want an edge cut against them. DW Custom Lawns takes those yards one at a time — mowing, edging, trimming, tidying up after — fitting the work to whatever the property actually is rather than running everything the same. Custom means noticing: the shady strip under the silver maple, the strip of grass between walk and curb, the slope by the back steps. By ten the mowers are quieting down and the whole street smells like cut grass, which is about the best thing a summer street can smell like. A yard that fits its house is the point.
