Comstock Park sits where the Rogue River comes down to meet the Grand, just north of Grand Rapids: river-bottom ground, sandy lots, big shade trees and streets running out toward the ball field. Clark's Services keeps the lawns here on their weekly turn — mowing in straight passes, edging along walks and drives, trimming close to fences and foundations. Valley yards grow fast in a wet June, so the schedule holds even on the weeks the weather does not cooperate.
