The Turf Therapist

About The Turf Therapist

Under the lawns of Commerce Township lies sandy glacial loam, hauled down by ice and dropped in long ridges between the lakes, so every yard here is really a conversation with that dirt. The Turf Therapist keeps the conversation going all season — mowing on a steady schedule, trimming, edging, mulch, and the spring and fall cleanups that let turf breathe. Grass under oak shade wants something different than grass out in open July sun, and the difference shows inside a week. Patience is most of it: cut high, cut often, keep the edges honest, and let the roots do the rest. By late August a lawn tended that way stands up thick from the walk clear out to the tree line.
