About Manny's Landscape, LLC

Three in the morning, and Union Lake lies a flat white plate under the streetlights while everything above it has gone dark and cold. Manny's Landscape, LLC is awake for it — plowing driveways and parking lots across Commerce Township, clearing walkways down to the concrete, laying salt where the ice refuses to let go. The measure of a night like that is simple: whether the bus gets down the street, and whether anyone slips on the way to the car. By sunrise the banks are stacked back out of the sightlines and the pavement is doing its job again. Then the trucks head home, and winter gets one more night to try.
