Landscape Professors

About Landscape Professors

Walk George George Memorial Park in mid-October and the whole lesson is lying on the ground: what the soil wants, what wind does with a leaf pile, where the water decides to go. Landscape Professors carries that reading out to Clinton Township properties in both halves of the year — mowing, trimming, cleanups and bed work while things grow, plowing and salting once the ground locks up. Every yard teaches something, and usually it is about drainage, and usually the hard way. The pleasure is in the small corrections: a cutting height changed, a downspout given somewhere to run, a plow route reworked so the bank stops melting back across the drive. Careful attention now is what makes an easy season later.
