About M Knowles Excavating LLC

Night plowing around Climax is a lonely and oddly beautiful shift: headlights, falling flakes, a long farm lane running off into black fields, corn stubble catching snow on both sides. M Knowles Excavating LLC keeps those lanes and driveways open through it — pushing down to gravel and blacktop, widening a turnaround so a truck can swing, shoveling out around the doors. Ice gets salted where the low spots gather melt and set it solid before sunrise. By the time the eastern sky goes pale over the section roads the work is finished and invisible, which is the way it ought to be. Then home, and a listen to the forecast, because out here another one is usually on its way.
