Clarksville Lawn & Garden

About Clarksville Lawn & Garden

Clarksville is a short main street with farm country on all sides, the kind of village where you can hear a tractor from the middle of town in June. Clarksville Lawn & Garden works those village lots and the places out along the section roads — mowing on a set week, trimming close to porch steps and garden fence, beds weeded and edged so the flowers get the credit. Spring means clearing the winter's litter and cutting the first flush of growth; October means leaf work, done in passes until the grass is showing again. The part worth waiting for is standing at the road afterward and seeing the shape of the yard come back, tidy and legible. Unhurried care, week by week, between Ionia County's fields and the houses set among them.
