About Rivertown Lawn Service

Down where the Cheboygan River lets go into Lake Huron, the crib light stands off the channel and the water carries the whole town's traffic past back yards that end in a seawall. Rivertown Lawn Service earns its name on those blocks — mowing lawns that run to the water's edge, trimming around slips, posts and stairs, cutting the edges so the turf stops clean at the concrete. When the river ices and the wind turns hard from the east, the same trucks come back with plows, opening drives and lots and shoveling the walks down to bare footing. Riverside ground freezes and thaws on its own stubborn schedule, and it pays to know which drives glaze first. Both seasons here end the same way: a property that looks squared away from the street and from the water.
