Lawns & Stuff

About Lawns & Stuff

Champion grew up around iron mining, and the old bedrock still shoulders up through the thin soil along the highway, dark and stubborn. Lawns & Stuff does lawn care in that ground, where grass grows over stone and every yard has its own knobs and boulders to work around. In September the maples on the ridges catch fire, and the evening light runs long and gold across newly mown grass. The name is plain and so is the craft: a mow that follows the lay of the land, trim tight against the rocks, clippings cleared off the drive before the last light fades. Out here, a lawn that looks this settled is a quiet answer to rough country.
