About Rudy Sherlund Inc

In January the Les Cheneaux channels lock up under ice, and Cedarville wakes to the low blue hush of a bay that has stopped moving. Rudy Sherlund Inc works inside that hush, clearing snow from driveways and walkways so the morning can begin on schedule. Wind off Lake Huron packs drifts hard against garage doors and buries the path to the mailbox overnight. There is real satisfaction in a lane opened clean to the road, its banks squared off and the gravel just showing at the shoulders. When the first headlights swing out toward the shore road, the way is already clear.
