About A-1 Outdoor Services Llc

In May, Cedar smells like cherry blossom — the orchards climb the Solon hills in white rows and all of Leelanau County looks as though it were arranged on purpose. A-1 Outdoor Services Llc mows through the months that follow, keeping village lots and orchard-road properties trimmed, edged and cleaned as the summer runs long and light. Then the sky over the lake turns to pewter, the bands come in off Lake Michigan, and the county starts measuring snow in feet rather than inches. Plowing here begins before dawn and often begins again by noon: driveways opened, walks cleared, people freed to get where they are going. Two very different halves of one year, both spent outdoors, both done for the same neighbors.
