Under a foot of snow the grass is still alive, dormant and waiting about six inches down, keeping its promise for spring. Turfs Are Us works both ends of that patience: plowing and shoveling Cedar Springs drives and walks through the deep-winter months, then mowing, trimming and edging once the frost lets go and the turf comes back hungry. The winter half protects what the summer half built — a blade set right, a drive cleared to its true edges instead of a foot inside them, no gouged sod waiting to be discovered in April. Come June the same properties are on a cutting schedule, striped and squared and blown clean. It is one piece of ground, seen twice a year in completely different light.
