Caro Snow Works

About Caro Snow Works

The wind that crosses the Thumb has nothing to slow it down — it comes off Saginaw Bay, gathers speed over open ground, and lays a drift across a Caro driveway by three in the morning. Caro Snow Works meets it there: plowing, clearing driveways and lots, shoveling walks down to the pavement, and salting whatever stays slick. A cleared drive at first light is a small, complete thing, and the day can start on time. Winter out here is long and it is not subtle, so the work runs storm to storm, dark to dark. Come the thaw, the county goes quiet again, and the pavement is right where you left it.
