About Landforms, Inc.

A big Canton snowfall does not end when it stops falling; that is roughly the halfway mark. Landforms, Inc. works the long back half of those nights — plowing and stacking, clearing walks and entrances, salting the surfaces that will freeze hard once the sky opens and the temperature falls. Along the busy stretch near Ford Road and out into the neighborhoods behind it, pavement has to be usable by the time the first headlights show. Winters in this part of Michigan run more to wind and refreeze than to storybook snowfalls, and the gap between passable and treacherous is often a single round of salt. The measure of a good night is that nobody afterward has to think about it at all.
