Bucky's Snow Removal

About Bucky's Snow Removal

Four in the morning on Belding Road, and the only lights moving are amber. Bucky's Snow Removal takes the Cannon Township routes early — plowing driveways and lots, clearing turnarounds, shoveling walks and spreading salt where ice sets up hardest at the bottom of a grade. The hills out here hold drifts in odd places; a lane that's bare at one end can be knee-deep at the other. Getting ahead of that before the first commute is the entire point. By sunrise the pavement is dark and wet, and nobody has to think about it.
