J and F Lawn and Snow Service

About J and F Lawn and Snow Service

Two initials on a truck door, and a route that follows Buck Creek out of Byron Center toward the flat ground west of the village. J and F Lawn and Snow Service mows, trims and edges through the warm half of the year, then plows drives, clears sidewalks and treats ice through the cold half. A Saturday morning in July smells like cut grass and gas; a February afternoon smells like diesel and cold steel. Neither season gets shorted — whatever squares a lawn's border also squares the bank of snow at the end of a driveway. It's a small outfit's advantage: every yard is a face, not an address.
