Andrew's Lawn and Snow

About Andrew's Lawn and Snow

February in Burton is the sneaky month: a bright thaw at noon, meltwater running down the slope of a driveway, and by dark the whole apron is glass. Andrew's Lawn and Snow works against exactly that, plowing what falls and salting what refreezes along the streets off Davison Road. Snow here does not always arrive in one dramatic storm; more often it stacks up two inches at a time until a drive is a small mountain range. Clearing it means going back, and going back again, and cutting the bank down before the next round lands on top. A drive opened wide, corners squared, walk shoveled to the step — that is the whole ambition, done again tomorrow.
