About Green Thumb Lawn Service

This corner of Wayne County is old lakebed — flat, heavy clay that holds its water, with farm fields still open along the township's back roads. Green Thumb Lawn Service works with that ground instead of against it: mowing on a schedule that suits how fast Brownstown grass moves after a May rain, edging the drives, trimming the fencelines, clearing the yard at either end of the season. A wet spring here can put an inch on a lawn overnight, and the answer is simply showing up. There is something steadying about a freshly mowed yard on a gray Michigan afternoon, one thing squared away. That is most of what this work is, and it is enough.
