November between Boyne City and East Jordan is a season all its own — rain turning to sleet by afternoon, the Jordan valley gone the color of wet bark. Rainey's Landscape LLC works that hinge: the last leaf hauls and cutbacks one week, the plow mounted and ready the next. Winter means driveways opened, walks shoveled, lots pushed clear while it is still dark, then done again after the wind fills them back in. Summer means mowing, trimming, mulch and edges, week in and week out. Both halves of the calendar come down to the same thing — showing up before it matters.
