April in Bloomfield Township is mud before it is anything green — frost easing out of the ground along Lone Pine Road, lawns waking up matted and gray. Rohto Landscaping picks them up from there: mowing once the growth starts, trimming, edging drives and beds, and clearing off what the winter left behind. Then the year turns and those same properties want plowing, walks shoveled, steps salted through the long stretch between December and March. Two very different kinds of early morning, one set of driveways. The pleasure in both is identical — pulling away from a place that looks better than it did an hour ago.
