Bloomer township is glacial country — low hills, kettle lakes, gravel roads rising and falling between farms — and the weather here does nothing by halves. Ace Paving takes the winter half: driveways and lots opened up, the plowed-in end of a drive cut back through, walks cleared down to a surface you can stand on. In summer the same properties want mowing, trimming and clean edges, since grass on this ground jumps after every rain. Watching a lawn come back from the first cut of May is worth the wait, and so is a lot sitting black and open at six on a January morning. One township, two full seasons of work.
