REYES TREE SERVICES

About REYES TREE SERVICES

Benton Harbor sits where the St. Joseph and the Paw Paw finish their run and hand themselves to Lake Michigan, and the wind that comes back off that water knows every weak limb in town. REYES TREE SERVICES works the streets between the harbor and the bluff, and the yards inland where the ground turns to orchard. Days go to tree removal on the ones the lake wind has already half-decided, tree trimming to bring a canopy back off a roofline, and pruning that keeps young trees growing into a shape they can hold. Storm damage cleanup starts at first light after a night of weather — the limb off the porch, the brush gone, the sidewalk swept. Late sun over the dunes makes a freshly cleared yard look as though it had always been that way, which is exactly the idea.
